About the Job:

The Project Manager, M&A, plays a pivotal role in facilitating, coordinating, and leading HR-related activities during the M&A process. This includes information gathering with seller representatives, employee presentations, and documentation of processes and timelines to stakeholders inside and outside the business. The role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Project Planning: Collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans for each stage of the M&A process, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger activities.
  2. Due Diligence: Assist in conducting HR due diligence activities, reviewing HR policies, contracts, benefit plans, and employment agreements to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  3. Integration Strategy: Contribute to developing strategies and plans that ensure a seamless transition for employees, including communication plans, cultural integration, and alignment of compensation and benefits.
  4. Communication: Coordinate communication efforts between merging entities' HR teams, ensuring employees are informed about changes and updates throughout the M&A process.
  5. Data Management: Support the collection, analysis, and consolidation of HR-related data for accurate reporting and decision-making.
  6. Timeline Management: Monitor project timelines and milestones, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to ensure timely execution.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with HR business partners, legal, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment on HR-related activities.
  8. Documentation: Maintain organized documentation of all HR activities related to M&A, including contracts, agreements, and plans.
  9. Compliance: Ensure all HR activities adhere to labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  10. Post-Merger Support: Provide ongoing support during post-merger integration, addressing employee inquiries, resolving issues, and monitoring strategy effectiveness.
Education and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in project coordination, with specific exposure to M&A activities.
  3. Knowledge of M&A processes, due diligence, and integration strategies.
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in an agile environment.
  5. Comfort with ambiguity.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  8. Strong use of technology as an enabler.
  9. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, Zoom, Smartsheets, etc.
  10. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data management.
  11. Ability to draft reports and manipulate data.
  12. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  13. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams at all levels.
  14. Experience with change management and cultural integration is advantageous.
  15. Ability to travel periodically to acquisition sites.
