Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Project Manager based in Pomona, CA, to balance financial and capacity needs with operational efficiency. The role requires strong communication to align stakeholders and the ability to adapt to changes and resolve conflicts.

Ideal candidates have a background in sales or interactions with manufacturing sites and familiarity with data tools such as Tableau, advanced Excel, and Snowflake or equivalent. Degrees in data analytics are also valuable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience is required.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing scheduling is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Learn and understand current production processes with plant colleagues.
• Communicate schedule adherence to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Functional Organization, Project Management, Customers, and Vendors.
• Maintain supporting processes for customer specifications (materials, test reports, etc.).
• Manage communication portals: Strategic Project Solutions, BIM360, etc.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer during production meetings.
• Support Logistics with authorizations to ship and related information.
• Lead Customer Factory Witness Tests and resolve Punch List items.

We are looking for Project Manager. This position will be based in Pomona, CA.

The Project Manager is a key role responsible for managing and scheduling to obtain an optimum balance between financial & capacity needs and operational efficiency. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills to navigate discussions with collaborators that may have competing interests. The ability to respond to sudden changes & work thru conflicts is important to be successful.

The ideal candidate will have a sales role and/or experience interacting with manufacturing location(s). Any background in project management, engineered to order manufacturing, or installer facing roles with electrical equipment would be relevant. Preferred candidates will have a knowledge of dashboarding/data management- specifically skills in Tableau, advanced Excel, and Snowflake or equivalent. Degrees in data analytics or data science are also acceptable.

As a project manager who is part of the production team, responsibilities will include:

• Working with plant colleagues to learn and understand current production processes.
• Communicate schedule adherence to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Functional Organization, the Project Management Organization, Customers, and Vendors
• Maintain supporting processes for customer specifications such as customer supplied materials, test reports, etc
• Manage interested party communication portals - Strategic Project Solutions, BIM360, etc
• Act as the Voice of the Customer during production meetings
• Support the Logistics team with Authorizations to Ship, Material Ship List communication, and Ship-To Party information
• Lead Customer Factory Witness Tests and Drive any Punch List Items to completion

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or comparable experience (preferred). At least 2 years in the electrical industry.
• 3+ years of Project Management experience.
• 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SAP (preferred)
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Scheduling (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent Excel skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
