Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a Project Manager for our manufacturing/construction client. You will build relationships with customers, plan and execute turnkey projects, coordinate with engineering, production, and sales teams, and manage budgets and schedules to meet delivery commitments.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management, at least six years of PM experience in manufacturing or construction, and strong skills in blueprint reading, ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management required; PMI certification preferred.
• At least six years of project management experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication processes and oversight of fabrication work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; Global Shop Solutions experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Create and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and participate in cost reviews and reduction efforts.
• Request, evaluate, and select subcontractor quotes.
• Review bid documents with the estimating team to help ensure quotes are accurate and submitted on time.
• Prepare material takeoffs and cost estimates for new opportunities and project change orders.
• Manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
• Work with manufacturing to ensure products meet customer specifications and delivery commitments.
• Prepare and present project updates, proposals, requirements documents, and progress reports.
• Read and interpret blueprints and contract drawings, applying knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and management to estimate costs for non-core opportunities.
