Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to provide consulting services for life science construction projects. You will manage projects from initiation through completion, coordinating with clients to define scope, budgets, schedules, and milestones.

The role is hybrid with on-site involvement at least 3x per week, focusing on life science facilities. Strong experience in project management, budgeting, risk assessment, and MS Office is expected, with LEED AP, PMP, or CCM preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of project management for singular real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project (scope, resources, cost estimates, budget, schedule, milestones, quality, risk).
  • Define delivery resources from pre-qualified lists; conduct RFPs, bid evaluations, and resource recommendations.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and timely coordination of documentation.
  • Direct the project delivery team with guidance to achieve goals.
  • Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule; track progress and report variances.
  • Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Apply standard principles to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, build consensus to reach agreements.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies; explain difficult information.

About the Role:

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for providing consulting services to an assigned market or client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives.

This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

This position is hybrid to job sites at least 3x per week. This role will focus on life science specific construction projects.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage all areas of project management for singular real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
  • Direct the project delivery team by providing guidance and direction to achieve goals.
  • Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
