Job summary

Canvas seeks a Project Manager - Launch Systems IPT to support our Air Force customer at Hill AFB, Utah. The role focuses on planning, testing, and reporting across DT&E activities for missile systems.

You will coordinate with government and contractor teams, manage test execution, and ensure documentation, schedules, and controls meet program objectives. On-site work with potential travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain it.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience, or 6+ years of direct experience in lieu of degree.
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified environment.
• Experience performing project management administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide task management support for DT&E activities of missile systems.
• Plan, test, analyze, and report across multiple acquisition phases.
• Support Sentinel program developmental test efforts to assess performance against requirements.
• Maintain cognizance of all team engineering activities and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.
• Assist in planning and coordinating test activities and preparing documents.
• Track test activity progress and update project management tools; ensure on-track delivery.
• Research locations/costs/capabilities for test facilities.
• Maintain test activity files and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
• Ensure project management controls are established and used.
• Prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/SharePoint is highly desirable.

Job Title: Project Manager - Launch Systems IPT

Location: Hill AFB, Utah

Canvas is currently seeking a Project Management Support Specialist to join our Launch Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) and provide support to our Air Force customer at Hill Air Force Base Utah.

Responsibilities

• - Provide task management support to the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) missile systems.
• - Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
• - Support the Sentinel program developmental test effort to assess performance against stated program requirements.
• - Maintain cognizance of all assigned team engineering activities.
• - Recommend and implement process improvements.
• - Assist in planning and coordinating test activities.
• - Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, note taking, and preparing documents.
• - Track test activity progress and update project management tools with current information. Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure all tasks are on-track and completed on time.
• - Research and compare locations, cost, and capabilities for test facilities.
• - Assist in the preparation of test documents and presentations.
• - Maintain test activity files and ensure all necessary documentation is kept up-to-date.
• - Ensures appropriate project management controls are established and effectively used by the team.
• - Analyze, organize, and prioritize work requirements to meet multiple deadlines while working in a fast tempo environment.
• - Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including the ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
• - Acts as Support Agreement Manager
• - Understand and adhere to safety and security requirements.

Qualifications

• - Must possess (or be able to obtain) an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
• - Experience in executing project management administration.
• - Must be willing and able to work on-site in a classified environment.
• - A Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 2 years’ experience, some of which include portions of duties included herein. At least six years direct work experience or four years direct experience and an Associate’s degree can be substituted for a Bachelor degree.
• - Work is timely, efficient, and of acceptable quality; completed work must meet project/program objectives.
• - Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.
• - Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
• - Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within established timelines.

• - Familiarity with test and evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.
