Job description

Help Life Sciences Teams Learn, Launch, and Succeed

Red Nucleus creates learning and engagement programs for the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. As a Project Manager, you'll lead the teams behind those programs: e-learning, workshops, mobile apps, video, games, and blended launch curricula. You'll be the client's trusted point of contact and the person who keeps talented writers, designers, artists, and developers moving in the same direction, on time and on budget.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, owns outcomes, and wants a real voice in both delivery and growth. You'll work closely with your Client Service Director and Account Managers, and you'll have a structured learning plan to help your responsibilities expand as your skills do.

Responsibilities:

Lead projects from kickoff to close

  • Serve as the primary client contact. You'll lead kickoff and status meetings, document decisions and action items, and understand client needs well enough to anticipate them.
  • Manage and independently deliver multicomponent solutions, custom new hire curriculums, and blended launch curricula, with a portfolio of roughly
    $750K to $1.2M in annual revenue .
  • Build and maintain project timelines, communicate key milestones and the impact of delays, and flag scope creep early with practical solutions.
  • Manage the Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) review process, including tracking submissions, reviewing comments, joining client MLR calls, and coordinating changes with the team.
  • Review outlines, instructional design plans, scripts, and beta versions to make sure work meets scope and client direction.
  • Close out each project with a breakdown covering budgeted versus actual scope, costs, and lessons learned, and lead post-project reviews.
  • Lead and motivate the team
  • Request, schedule, and prioritize resources across Associate Project Managers, Medical Writers, Instructional Designers, Artists, Developers, Editors, and freelancers.
  • Give timely, constructive feedback on teamwork, share client feedback, and drive a plan of action.
  • Engage and manage freelancers, from selection and rate negotiation to invoice approval.
  • Support onboarding of new team members and freelancers.
  • Own the financials
  • Develop scope and pricing for SOWs and change orders and identify opportunities to expand revenue on sold projects.
  • Track hours, budgets, and revenue recognition, and forecast weekly.
  • Submit invoice requests and provide budget updates to clients.
  • Understand the terms of client master service agreements, such as rate cards and discounts, and apply them correctly.
  • Help win new business
  • Partner with Account Managers on proposals, timelines, brainstorming sessions, and pitch presentations.
  • Develop scope and pricing for standard solutions, with support for custom ones.
  • Strengthen how we work
  • Model and help evolve Red Nucleus processes.
  • Occasionally manage internal projects, such as training resources and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide on-site logistics support at client workshops and events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience managing and designing blended learning solutions.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in a digital agency or professional services environment.
  • Experience in, or serving clients in, a highly regulated industry such as pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech.
  • A track record of delivering projects within budget and scope while managing client expectations.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, revenue recognition, and invoicing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project planning software (such as Microsoft Project), Adobe Acrobat, virtual meeting platforms, and file-sharing tools.
  • Familiarity with client submission systems such as Veeva Vault.
  • A working understanding of what goes into blended learning products: instructional content, graphic design, programming, media, editing, and QA.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail, plus the ability to lead a team of diverse personalities and skill sets.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, events, and pitches, and to occasionally work evenings or weekends to meet deadlines.
Nice to have
  • Business-focused educational background.
  • Sales training or experience supporting business development.
