Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Lead Project Manager to guide the deployment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure across its operating territory. The hybrid role spans OH, PA, DE, and FL, with strong governance, mentorship, and strategic delivery responsibilities.

You will oversee multiple PMs, drive AMI implementation, and report to senior leadership on performance, risk, and execution strategy. A senior PM background and AMI expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience.
• Extensive experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
• Standard driver's license.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale capital projects and programs.
• Strong executive communication and leadership skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex project environments.
• PMP certification, Graduate Degree, or advanced experience in AMI.

• Lead execution of major capital projects and strategic initiatives, focusing on AMI.
• Provide oversight and guidance for multiple project managers and teams.
• Develop and implement project delivery strategies and governance frameworks.

The Lead Project Manager serves as a senior project management leader responsible for overseeing large, complex, and strategically significant capital projects and programs. This position provides leadership, mentorship, governance oversight, and project management expertise across multiple projects.

The Lead Project Manager establishes best practices, supports organizational project management standards, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on project execution strategy and performance. This role will be leading the implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure across the Chesapeake Utilities operating territory.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience.
• Extensive experience working with Advanced Metering Infrastructure
• Standard driver's license
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale capital projects and programs.
• Strong executive communication and leadership skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex project environments.
• PMP certification, Graduate Degree, or advanced experience in AMI
• Preferred Experience:
  • Utility, infrastructure, LNG, pipeline, power generation, or major energy project experience.
  • Experience developing project management standards and governance processes.
