Job summary

MKS is seeking a Business Analyst to support our Information Technology group, gathering requirements, implementing systems, and refining workflows to drive efficiencies. The role reports to the Business Technology Group and collaborates with executives and managers across functions.

The ideal candidate will have IT/business experience in a high-tech manufacturing context, plus ERP/HRIS familiarity and strong analytical abilities. Position features a hybrid work arrangement and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience required.
• 2+ years' experience in an Analyst position related to information technology and/or finance.
• Relational understanding of ERP's (e.g.: SAP, Oracle), HRIS (e.g.: Workday), PLM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Office Productivity Tools, Microsoft Office 365, BPM tools and/or Visio, Jira or other PM tools.
• High performance orientation, self-motivated and focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from executives and managers and scope initiatives precisely.
• Partner with application and infrastructure leaders to ensure clear understanding of business needs.
• Evaluate, experiment and recommend opportunities to improve IT software, hardware, and processes.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and features for delivery.
• Analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvements.
• Produce artifacts for scoping and traceability used by IT and QA teams.
• Collaborate with IT QA to map use cases for testing procedures.
• Advise stakeholders on new technologies and industry trends for innovation.
• Document and execute change management and business readiness for new systems.

MKS is hiring a Business Analyst to support our Information Technology group who will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement systems, and workflow processes that drive efficiencies and business enablement. The successful candidate will have a background in both business and IT and will have an understanding of the high-tech manufacturing industry and report into our Business Technology Group.

You Will Make an Impact by:

• Gather intelligence from corporate executives and middle managers about needs and future growth
• Partner with application and infrastructure delivery leaders to ensure each initiative is understood and thoroughly scoped to meet a specific need articulated by the business
• Evaluate, experiment and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our software, hardware and IT processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into requirements / features
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement
• Compile and distribute artifacts to be leveraged for scoping and traceability
• Partner with the IT Quality Assurance organization to identify and evaluate business use cases to be leveraged in testing procedures
• Understand and consult with stakeholders and the IT department on the newest technology and its implications in the industry as opportunities for innovation
• Ensure organization change management and business readiness activities are documented and executed to end-users on new systems and processes

Skills You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration discipline or equivalent work experience, required

• Salary Range: $75,000.00 $105,000.00 USD annually. This range represents a good faith estimate based on qualifications, experience, training, and business needs.
• Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, determined by MKS.
