Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) seeks a motivated Project Manager Intern to gain hands-on construction PM experience. You will work with seasoned project managers on projects from conception to completion and develop core planning skills.

The internship emphasizes mentorship and exposure to scheduling, budgeting, and collaboration with clients, design teams, and subcontractors. Duration typically May–August with compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a technical school, college, or university program in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of project management concepts (scheduling, budgeting) is a plus but not required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and quality control tasks on active construction projects.
• Help develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to support project success.
• Assist in monitoring project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and track project risks and support mitigation strategies.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Project Manager Intern to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in construction project management. In this role, you will work alongside experienced project managers, learn valuable skills, and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Planning: Assist project managers with scheduling, budgeting, and quality control tasks across active construction projects.
• Track Progress: Help develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
