Position Information

Location: Greenwood Village, CO, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead team efforts for marketing and strategy development.
• Identify prospects, develop proposals, prepare client presentations, and manage project budgeting and contracting.
• Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance.

Project Management

• Interact with assigned clients and promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities.
• Support the development of the overall market business plan, market strategies, and client engagement strategies.

Project Execution

• Oversee engineering manager(s) and develop project performance goals.
• Implement project performance plans and participate in internal project teams and owner project representative activities.
• Perform or assist with the performance and commercial management of projects including budgeting, invoicing, and payments; lead project performance reviews for assigned project(s).

Staff Management

• Develop and mentor team members, improve performance, and recommend training and promotion opportunities.
• Identify and develop new candidates to expand the Black & Veatch team.

Management Responsibilities

Acts as a project manager, managing a project team whose composition varies by project.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated experience in the industrial sector.
• Professional Engineering License and a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
• Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
• Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
