Responsibilities

  • Lead preconstruction activities, bid analysis, and schedules with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage owner contracts, change control, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and administer subcontracts, POs, and cost reporting.
  • Develop project schedules and monitor updates.
  • Enforce Quality Manual, conduct safety audits, and lead the team.
  • Oversee and mentor project management staff to foster growth.

McShane Construction Company is looking for a Project Manager!

As a Project Manager, you will spearhead the successful delivery of industrial projects, ensuring safety, timeliness, and adherence to budgets and quality standards. You will contribute to McShane’s long-term client partnerships by developing the client-contractor relationship and managing expectations. You will also cultivate your leadership abilities by mastering project financials, mentoring teams, and effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Preconstruction
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and marketing teams on proposals, bid analysis, constructability reviews, and preliminary project schedules.
Project Controls
  • Analyze and manage owner contracts, ensuring compliance with claim provisions.
  • Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and risk mitigation plans during buyout phases.
  • Administer project control documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Manage subcontractor and owner changes.
  • Manage project forecasting to produce accurate cost reporting.
  • Prepare owner billings and approve subcontractor/vendor payments promptly.
Schedule Management
  • Develop or assist with the preparation of project schedules and updates.
Quality Management
  • Support the project team in implementing the company’s Quality Manual.
  • Address consultant inspection reports monthly.
Safety
  • Enforce the company’s Safety Program and ensure site-specific safety plans are completed.
  • Conduct Job Site Safety Audits and provide recommendations at weekly coordination meetings.
Team Management
  • Oversee, train, and mentor project management staff assigned to the project.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting professional growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in construction management.
  • Proficiency in managing project controls and understanding construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary Description

$100,000-135,000 per year. This is a good faith estimate based on available market data. Final offers depend on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, cell phone allowance, and all company-sponsored employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match and profit sharing, student loan assistance, and PTO.
