Job summary

AECOM in Dallas, TX is seeking a Project Manager II to lead moderately complex projects in a large multi-disciplinary engineering firm. You will manage projects with regional clients and multiple services, guiding execution from initiation through closeout.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS with 2 years of experience (or equivalent), plus municipal project experience and a technical degree in engineering or architecture.

• Experience with municipal work preferred.
• Technical degree in engineering or architecture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more moderately complex projects across service lines.
• May supervise senior engineers, project controls, scheduling, cost control, procurement reps.
• Work mostly independently with limited supervision.
• Oversee all project phases from initiation to closeout.

Manages one or more moderately complex project, involving a combination of the following:

• Clients with a regional geographic footprint; OR,
• Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices; OR,
• Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
• May manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
• Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
• Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
• May supervise: senior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with municipal work. A technical degree in engineering or architecture.

Minimum Experience

BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education.
