Job summary

Conco Services LLC is seeking a Project Manager I for our Southeast US location. This entry-to-mid-level role coordinates and supports field-based projects from planning through completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to scope.

Under supervision of more senior managers, you will work with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain productivity, resolve on-site issues, and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in field operations, site supervision, or project coordination.
  • Familiarity with construction or field-based project environments (civil, mechanical, electrical, telecom, utility).
  • Basic understanding of project management principles (scope, schedule, cost, quality).
  • MS Office Suite proficiency; working knowledge of project scheduling tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with field documentation such as RFIs, daily logs, change orders, and site safety reports.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or site layouts.
  • Time management and prioritization.
  • Participate in team safety meetings and cross-functional planning sessions.
  • Complete online/remote safety training as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

The Project Manager I is responsible for coordinating and supporting the execution of field-based projects from planning through completion. This entry‑to‑mid‑level role focuses on overseeing day‑to‑day field operations, ensuring that project activities are completed safely, on time, and within scope. Under the guidance of senior project managers or operations leadership, the Project Manager I works closely with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain productivity, resolve on‑site issues, and uphold quality and safety standards.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day field operations and schedules.
  • Assist in developing project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Work closely with field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Track progress and report issues to senior managers.

  • Candidates must have been granted "unescorted access" to a Nuclear Power Plant within the last 365 days and have high‑pressure pump operator experience (40K PSI or higher).

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk and move for extended periods (8+ hours per day).
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various work environments.
  • Lifting and carrying tools, equipment, and materials up to 50 lbs (occasionally heavier with assistance).
  • Working in outdoor and indoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working at heights as needed.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and heavy machinery safely.
  • Dexterity to perform fine motor tasks, such as wiring, assembling, or troubleshooting equipment.
  • Driving for extended periods to site locations, sometimes in remote locations.
  • Working in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces, attics, or utility areas.
  • Be aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Up to 95% travel.
Work Environment

The work environment involves remote or industrial locations, including oil rigs, refineries, power plants, manufacturing facilities, and similar sites. Workers may encounter high noise levels, heavy machinery, hazardous substances, pressurized systems, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures. Rotational shifts and extended hours are common. Safety is paramount, with thorough training programs and personal protective equipment such as hard hats, gloves, and high‑visibility gear provided to manage potential risks. Duties may require working outdoors in unpredictable weather, from intense heat to cold or rain. Frequent travel between job sites is also a key aspect of the role.
