Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PM experience on high-voltage substation or transmission projects in an EPC setting.
• Hands-on knowledge of grid integration, energy storage, and EMS is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• PMP or similar certification and PE license are preferred.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, and MS Office; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and execution from concept to delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Budget development and control; coordinate with finance for cost forecasting.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies; escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide strategic input on planning and delivery; support long-term client relationships.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes and tools.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

This includes the planning, execution, and completion of projects in alignment with contract specifications, timelines, and budgets. Successful candidates may be placed in Project Manager I or II titles based on experience and education.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of substation and transmission line projects, including projects focused in renewable and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The individual must be experienced in overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation. The role will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution: Manage the project life cycle from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Contract & Budget Management: Develop, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining adherence to contract terms. Work with the finance team to ensure accurate project cost forecasting.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Provide regular project updates and prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies and escalated where appropriate.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strategy & Decision-Making: Provide strategic input on project planning and delivery. Contribute to high-level decisions that influence project outcomes and long-term client relationships.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices, tools, and methodologies for improving project management processes across the organization.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant project management experience, including significant experience with high-voltage substation and/or transmission line projects within an EPC environment
• Hands‑on experience with grid integration, energy storage technologies, and energy management systems is preferred
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Project Management, or Construction Management is required; equivalent years of experience may substitute formal education
• Masters in Business Administration is preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • In-depth knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, substations, and transmission lines
  • Understanding of renewable energy technologies, energy storage systems (e.g., lithium-ion batteries, flow batteries), and their integration into the grid
  • Advanced project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams at all levels
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions that align with organizational goals.
• Occasional travel to project sites may be required
