Responsibilities

• Manage custom healthcare packaging projects from initial customer requirements through design, testing, validation, production and final implementation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and project visibility throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Support development of engineered packaging solutions for medical devices, diagnostic systems, laboratory equipment and healthcare technologies.
• Oversee packaging prototyping, transit testing, ISTA validation and customer approval processes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and milestones while achieving commercial objectives.
• Identify risks, resolve challenges and deliver continuous improvements in packaging performance and supply chain efficiency.

About the Role

The Project Manager will lead customer packaging programs from concept through implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver innovative protective packaging solutions for highly sensitive and valuable healthcare products. This is an opportunity to work closely with blue-chip customers, manage complex projects, and play a key role in developing packaging systems that protect critical medical technologies around the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage custom healthcare packaging projects from initial customer requirements through design, testing, validation, production and final implementation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication, project visibility and exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Support the development of engineered packaging solutions for medical devices, diagnostic systems, laboratory equipment and healthcare technologies.
• Oversee packaging prototyping, transit testing, ISTA validation and customer approval processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years' experience in Project Management within packaging, medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing or a related technical environment.
• Experience managing customer-facing projects involving custom packaging, engineered products or complex manufacturing solutions.
• Understanding of protective packaging materials including corrugated packaging, engineered foam, thermoformed plastics, reusable transit packaging and custom crating solutions.
• Knowledge of packaging validation, transit testing and product protection methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting customers within Medical Devices, Healthcare Technology, Diagnostics, Laboratory Equipment, Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical sectors would be highly advantageous.
• A proactive, customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Packaging, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline preferred.
