Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Project Manager, Gas Operations in Brockton, MA to oversee mid/large gas construction and pipeline projects, coordinating with engineering and procurement. The role requires strong PM skills, vendor management, and regulatory reporting.

The position entails travel across MA/CT/NH, safety-sensitive duties, and potential emergency restoration responsibilities. A four-year degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related natural gas distribution and/or general construction experience.
• Knowledge of distribution systems, gas construction standards and procedures preferred.
• Project management experience is required.
• Experience with P6 is strongly preferred.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Operator License is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required Operator Qualifications.
• PMP Project Management Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage larger ($1M to $3M) Station Construction Projects during the construction season.
• Manage capital pipeline installation projects (e.g., DOT, bridge crossings, complex pipeline crossings).
• Develop bids with Engineering and Procurement; determine best route, timelines and budgets; manage scope development and contractor selection.
• Plan and schedule projects with Planning and Scheduling Department and other stakeholders to ensure resources are available.
• Review invoices and change orders on projects.
• Assist in development of Regulatory reports required for agencies (e.g., DPU).
• Represent Eversource Gas Construction Department at meetings, town halls, and special meetings.

Managing mid/large ($1M to $3M) Station Construction Projects and pipeline installation projects. Responsible for providing project oversight in collaboration with construction teams for gas pipeline and station installations and ensuring adherence to procedures of projects. Collaborate with engineering to manage any changes that occur.

Essential Functions

• Management of larger ($1M to $3M) Station Construction Projects that occur during the course of the construction season. (ex., Gate stations, regulator pits, large scale sales projects etc.).
• Management of capital pipeline installation projects (ex. DOT, bridge crossings, complex pipeline crossings, steel/plastic pipeline installation, etc.).
• Develops special bids in conjunction with other departments (i.e., Engineering and Procurement) that may occur with these projects. Assist in determining the best route of projects and developing timelines and budgets. Responsible for managing development of project scopes, reviewing bids and making recommendations to Manager regarding the selection of contractors.
• Plans and schedules the projects in conjunction with the Planning and Scheduling Department of the Field Operations and other internal stakeholders to develop timelines and ensure appropriate availability of resources.
• Reviews and approves all invoices and change orders that may occur on projects.
• Assists in development of reports that are required for Regulatory (DPU) agencies these can include projections, timelines, contractor selections, etc.
• Represents Eversource Gas Construction Department at meetings, town hall meetings and any special meetings that may occur.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Business Administration, Accounting, related discipline, or equivalent experience is required.
• Degree in Architecture or Construction Management is preferred.

Experience

Working Conditions

This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing.

$116,980.00-$129,980.00
