As owners, we take pride in our work and in each other—driving results while fostering a workplace where everyone feels seen, supported, and inspired.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager II, you will hold overall responsibility for medium to high complexity projects or multiple concurrent projects — leading teams to achieve Total Project Success by meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals. You will serve as the primary client contact, coordinate multi‑discipline resources and subconsultants, manage financial performance, and ensure projects are executed according to plan from kickoff through close‑out.

  • Confirm project scope and requirements with clients and stakeholders; document assumptions and decisions.
  • Develop proposals and financial plans; prepare preliminary man‑hour budgets with CRM, Department Head, or Operations Director.
  • Ensure contracts are fully executed by the appropriate Principal and align the team to contractual obligations.
  • Lead effective project kick‑offs to convey scope, standards, budgets, roles, risks, and expectations.
  • Finalize discipline work plans and task‑hour budgets with design leads; update plans as conditions change.
  • Establish schedules with client input; set interim milestones for timely information flow and coordination.
  • Schedule and sequence work; communicate action items; monitor manpower plans across disciplines and maintain profit variance within targets.
  • Maintain complete project documentation and organized storage; keep logs current (RFI, submittal, decision, risk).
  • Facilitate meetings with owners, clients, architects, and contractors; document decisions and follow‑ups.
  • Track budgets, fee burn, and earned value; recognize how hours charged impact revenue and forecasts.
  • Identify, negotiate, and administer fees for additional services; process change orders promptly.
  • Prepare and implement proactive QA/QC plans; coordinate timely reviews and submittals to meet standards and contract requirements.
  • Manage Construction Administration to help ensure installed systems conform to design intent and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate invoices are issued promptly; track AR status and update projected monthly revenue.
  • Resolve design and coordination issues by analyzing root causes and driving cross‑discipline solutions.
  • Supervise close‑out activities including punchlists, documentation, filings, lessons learned, and archive.
  • Build and grow client relationships through exceptional delivery; engage in business development with current and potential clients to expand services.
Minimum Requirements / Who We’re Looking For
  • Technical or Bachelor’s degree in one of the major technical disciplines practiced by the firm with eight years related project experience OR
  • Twelve years of practical experience on similar projects
  • Demonstrated, consistent ability to manage projects of various size and complexity
  • Professional Engineer Licensure preferred (required by those who have a ABET accredited degree in engineering)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading multi‑discipline design teams and coordinating subconsultants and contractors.
  • Command of project financials including pricing, fee burn, earned value, forecasts, and AR.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with scheduling and resource planning tools.
  • Clear, concise communication and meeting facilitation; strong documentation and follow‑through.
  • Ability to analyze issues, evaluate trade‑offs, mitigate risk, and make sound decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Business development mindset with experience supporting proposals, interviews, and client workshops.
