Job description

About Evinova

Are you ready to be part of the future of healthcare? Can you think big, be bold, and harness the power of digital and AI to tackle longstanding life sciences challenges? Then Evinova, a new health-tech business within the AstraZeneca Group, might be for you.

Transform billions of patients’ lives through technology, data, and innovative ways of working. You are innovative, decisive, and transformative—someone excited to use technology to improve patients’ health. We are building a new health-tech business: Evinova, a fully owned subsidiary of AstraZeneca Group.

Evinova delivers market‑leading digital health solutions that are science‑based, evidence‑led, and human experience‑driven. Thoughtful risks and quick decisions come together to accelerate innovation across the life sciences sector. Be part of a diverse team that pushes the boundaries of science by digitally empowering a deeper understanding of the patients we are helping. Launch pioneering digital solutions that improve the patient experience and deliver better health outcomes. Together, we have the opportunity to combine deep scientific expertise with digital and artificial intelligence to serve the wider healthcare community and create new standards across the sector.

We are in an active growth phase. Our platform is evolving quickly, our customer base is expanding, and our delivery capability is scaling alongside it. We operate in a regulated environment, with sophisticated sponsor customers who have high expectations and real experience of enterprise implementation.

We are building delivery capability that matches the quality of our product ambition. That means hiring people who bring structure, judgment, and honesty and who are energized by building something, not just running it.

About The Role

As a Project Manager within SaaS Delivery, you will own one or more individual workstreams within a larger customer program, including the plan, RAID log, meeting cadence, and status reporting for your area. You will work under an accountable Program Director who owns the program as a whole.

You will keep your workstream operating effectively by tracking actions, flagging slippage early, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks between Solution Engineering, testing, and Product Engineering.

Not every program has a dedicated Project Manager. You will be assigned where a program’s size or complexity calls for dedicated support with workstream management. On a given program, you may be the only Project Manager working alongside a single Program Director, or one of several Project Managers supporting different workstreams within the same program.

Following debut, you will become the customer’s day‑to‑day point of contact for post‑go‑live implementation needs within your workstream. This is distinct from the Support team, which manages product support issues. The Program Director will continue to own the overall customer relationship, including quarterly business reviews and ongoing relationship management.

This is a hands‑on, meticulous role. You will be the person who knows exactly where your workstream stands, who is blocked, what is due, and what requires attention each week.

You will join a team that is scaling and still developing its delivery playbook. Part of this role will involve helping shape that playbook through the templates, checklists, and working practices you build into your delivery work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain the delivery plan, achievement tracker, and RAID log for assigned workstream(s) within a Program Director’s program.
  • Run regular cadence calls and status meetings with customers and internal teams for assigned workstream(s).
  • Produce clear and accurate status reporting for the Program Director.
  • Track actions, dependencies, and risks through to closure within assigned workstream(s).
  • Raise issues early to the Program Director when something is off track.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day with Solution Engineers, testers, and Product Engineering to keep workstream(s) on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation, including plans, meeting notes, decision logs, configuration records, and change records.
  • Support hypercare close‑out for assigned workstream(s), including tracking open items, coordinating fixes, and documenting lessons learned.
  • Serve as the customer’s day‑to‑day point of contact for post‑go‑live implementation needs within the assigned workstream.
  • Clearly and factually communicate delivery or product risks to the Program Director when blocking issue is required, rather than minimizing or delaying the issue.
  • Contribute to the delivery playbook by developing templates, checklists, and process improvements based on experience from live delivery work.
Skills And Experience
Delivery and Implementation
  • Demonstrable experience managing SaaS or software implementation projects, ideally involving enterprise platforms.
  • Experience maintaining a live delivery plan and RAID log, with the ability to use judgment when deciding what requires critical issue.
  • Highly organized and meticulous, with a strong focus on ensuring that actions and commitments do not slip through the cracks.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
Customer and Collaborator Management
  • Experience working with enterprise or regulated‑industry customers, ideally within pharma, life sciences, healthcare, or a similar environment.
  • Clear and confident written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Comfortable leading customer‑facing status calls and meetings.
  • Willingness to surface bad news early rather than allowing issues to become more significant later.
  • Understanding of where day‑to‑day workstream engagement ends and the dedicated Support team’s remit begins, with the ability to route issues appropriately.
Technical Literacy
  • Sufficient technical literacy to follow a data model, understand integration dependencies, and communicate effectively with engineers without requiring translation.
  • Comfortable using tools for delivery tracking, documentation, and reporting, including AI‑assisted planning tools as part of everyday workflow.
Ways of Working
  • Brings structure and rigor to ambiguous and fast‑moving environments.
  • Uses AI tools as part of day‑to‑day project management, rather than as an afterthought.
  • Works effectively under the guidance of a Program Director while exercising independent judgment on smaller engagements.
  • Contributes to process and playbook development alongside live delivery responsibilities.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience
  • Experience managing SaaS or enterprise software implementation projects; experience limited to internal projects or waterfall project management within a single team is not sufficient.
  • Active technical literacy, including the ability to engage effectively with technical teams and understand implementation dependencies.
  • Experience in pharma, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated enterprise environment.
