Responsibilities
- Complete detailed estimates and prepare proposals ahead of bid deadlines.
- Participate in pre- and post-job reviews.
- Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and sales teams to prepare estimates and bids.
- Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates considering factors such as production time, materials, and labor.
- Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.
- Perform field take-offs and evaluations for estimate preparation.
- Solicit bids from vendors and subcontractors for projects.
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and estimate contents.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date job cost records for future projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to develop cost-effective scopes.
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Interview and evaluate potential employees and subcontractors.
- Establish communication schedules to update stakeholders on project progress.
- Generate profit projections, estimate costs, and schedule deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Review work quality regularly to meet project standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Minimum of 3+ years in estimating or project management within drywall, acoustical, or metal framing trades (required).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Professional/Industry-related references (required).

- In-depth knowledge of drywall and metal framing construction industry, building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, materials, processes, and project management principles.
- Experience with construction or project management software preferred.
