Job summary

ExecuSource is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a manufacturing/engineering firm in Reston, VA. The role leads engineering projects from inception to execution, ensuring scope, budget, and client expectations are met.

Responsibilities include developing the engineering scope of work, managing multi-discipline deliverables, securing resources, and maintaining strong client relationships. Travel approx. 30% to client sites; hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant project management experience.
• PEC firm experience required.
• Project management on engineering projects.
• Knowledge of front-end and detailed engineering process.
• Proven customer account manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients.
• Experience driving projects within budget from initiation through conclusion.
• PMP certification is desirable but not required.

Our client is a growing Engineering Construction firm and is seeking an experienced Project Manager.

What you get to do:

• Manage all aspects of business projects from inception through execution
• Develop and document the engineering scope of work
• Review and manage all project deliverables across all engineering disciplines
• Secure resources needed for team to execute work effectively (i.e. drawings, reports, site visits, etc.)
• Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
• Develop and track project costs
• Identify and communicate changes to SOW
• Identify and effectively respond to clients issues and needs
• Ensure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trust
• Ensure the clients policies and procedures are communicated and followed by the project team
• Ensure PO’s are received from the client before work begins and ensure services are rendered within the approved budget; also ensure invoices are paid timely
• Anticipate future work associated or derived from ongoing projects
• Travel 30% to the client site to interface with the project team

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering or relevant Project Management experience
• Must have PEC firm experience
• Project Management experience on Engineering Projects
• Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering process
• Proven Customer Account Manager with experience in developing opportunities within existing clients
• Demonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusion
• Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projects
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationships
• Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of operations
• PMP certification (desired, but not required)
