Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience managing and coordinating multiple projects requiring planning, scope, development, design, and construction.
• Time-in-grade requirements apply for GS-12 and related qualifications.
• Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education related to Planning, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Business.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
• Coordinate planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration for engineering projects of substantial scope and complexity.
• Control and manage project milestones and budgets from planning phases through final completion.
• Allocate project funds to district elements, monitor performance to assure commitments are met.
• Serve as the district's primary point of contact for customers and external agencies on assigned projects.
• Present status reports for assigned projects including progress, issues, and trends.
• Implement decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in project development.
• Review project progress and take corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost.
