We are seeking a Data Center Electrical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of mission‑critical electrical construction projects throughout Texas. In this role, you will oversee projects from preconstruction and procurement through commissioning, turnover, and final closeout. You'll collaborate with customers, contractors, engineers, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and has experience managing hyperscale, AI, HPC, colocation, cloud, or other mission‑critical infrastructure projects.
Lead electrical construction projects from contract review and preconstruction through customer acceptance and project closeout. Develop and manage project execution plans covering scope, budget, schedule, staffing, procurement, quality, safety, and turnover requirements. Coordinate engineering, BIM/VDC, procurement, field operations, modular fabrication, logistics, commissioning, and turnover activities. Drive accountability across project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, labor productivity, cash flow, billings, collections, profitability, and contingency planning. Review contracts, specifications, design documents, and customer standards to ensure scope alignment and compliance. Prepare, negotiate, and manage change orders, RFIs, claims, notices, and contract documentation. Identify project risks, scope gaps, design concerns, procurement challenges, and schedule threats while implementing mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain baseline schedules, milestone plans, procurement schedules, recovery plans, and commissioning readiness plans. Manage procurement of critical electrical equipment including: Medium‑voltage systems Switchgear Transformers Generators UPS systems Batteries PDUs and RPPs Busway systems Cable tray and cable infrastructure Controls and monitoring systems. Monitor long‑lead equipment procurement and coordinate delivery schedules to support project milestones.
Ensure compliance with company, customer, OSHA, and industry safety standards. Support robust QA/QC programs including inspections, testing documentation, red‑line management, punch‑list control, and turnover packages. Coordinate startup activities, outages, energization plans, integrated systems testing, commissioning, and phased turnovers. Maintain focus on zero‑defect execution and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead meetings with owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, commissioning authorities, and vendors. Build strong customer relationships that support repeat business opportunities. Provide executive‑level reporting on financial performance, project status, procurement, schedule progress, quality, safety, and risk management. Support proposal development, estimating handoff processes, and project lessons learned initiatives.
