Job summary

nTech Workforce in Oakbrook Terrace, IL is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee electric distribution infrastructure upgrades from design through construction and closeout.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage $1M–$5M+ projects, and drive capacity expansion and voltage conversion (4KV to 12KV). The role requires 3+ years of PM experience in utility/construction and a relevant engineering/management degree.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in utility, construction, or infrastructure.
• Experience in Electric Distribution (4-12 KV).

• Clear documentation of educational background on the resume (Degree and Institution).
• Proficiency in financial forecasting and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of utility infrastructure projects (overhead, underground, civil, and boring).
• Drive capacity expansion and 4 to 12 KV conversion projects from start to finish.
• Develop comprehensive project plans defining scope, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Lead project teams to meet objectives while monitoring progress and mitigating risks.
• Manage project budgets ($1M - $5M+) and perform regular financial forecasting.
• Issue RFPs and manage subcontractors and external contractors.
• Utilize SmartSheets and Power BI to create project dashboards and status reports for leadership.

Terms of Employment

• This is a hybris position in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The current rotation one week in office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, one week in office Monday Tuesday, Thursday. This will likely shift to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday post office build out.
• This is a typical Monday - Friday, eight hour per day position.

• Proficiency in financial forecasting and budget management.
• Experience with MS Office and project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an electric grid environment.
• Advanced proficiency in SmartSheets and Power BI.
• Experience managing projects valued at $5M or more.
