Job summary

MassMutual is seeking a Project Manager in Data Science & AI Engineering to orchestrate the delivery of AI and data-driven solutions, coordinating scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. You will partner with data scientists, AI engineers, and product managers to ensure projects run smoothly and deliver measurable impact.

You’ll help teams translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans while navigating ambiguity and maintaining alignment across multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years in a technical field (academic, research-based, or professional).
• 2+ years managing technical projects in Agile environments.
• 2+ years managing data science or AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of AI and data science projects from planning through implementation.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to manage dependencies and clarify requirements.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives) and drive accountability.

The Impact

• Manage the delivery of AI and data science projects from planning through implementation.

The Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• 4+ years in technical field (this can be a combination of academic, research-based, or professional environment).

• 2+ years of experience managing technical projects in Agile environments.

• 2+ years of experience managing data science or AI projects.

Master’s degree (preferred) in business, computer science, engineering, or other applicable discipline.

• Strong understanding of project management tools (JIRA, Confluence) and Agile frameworks.
