Your impact

At Jacobs, we push the boundaries of what's possible to create innovative solutions that improve lives and transform communities. We combine deep technical expertise with a collaborative culture to tackle some of the world's most complex infrastructure and energy challenges.

As the energy landscape evolves, organizations are increasingly investing in resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions. Join our growing Customer Owned Energy Systems (COES) team and play a key role in delivering the next generation of energy infrastructure that powers campuses, healthcare facilities, industrial sites, municipalities, and mission-critical operations.

If you're a driven Project Manager who thrives on leading complex projects, building strong client relationships, and delivering impactful solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

Our COES team delivers planning, engineering, and design services across the full energy ecosystem, helping clients achieve their operational, resilience, and sustainability goals. Our work includes

  • Utility master planning
  • Feasibility studies and business case development
  • Central utility plants
  • Electrical substations
  • Microgrids and distributed energy systems
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Thermal Energy Networks (TENs)
  • District heating and cooling systems
  • Campus and community energy infrastructure

As a Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams through the successful delivery of complex energy projects from planning and design through execution. You'll collaborate with industry-leading technical experts, engage directly with executive-level clients, and help shape the future of customer-owned energy systems.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex Customer Owned Energy Systems projects, managing all aspects of project execution including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and resource management. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, develop and implement project delivery strategies, and proactively address challenges to achieve project objectives. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, you will build trusted relationships, understand business needs, and provide clear communication to stakeholders, often executive-level leadership. You will oversee project financial performance through forecasting, cost control, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) reporting, and Earned Value Management (EVM) practices. In partnership with Jacobs' Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teams, you will leverage global expertise and digital capabilities to deliver innovative, efficient, and high-quality solutions that create lasting value for our clients.

What Makes This Role Exciting

This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of the rapidly evolving energy sector, helping clients modernize critical infrastructure and achieve ambitious resilience, sustainability, and decarbonization goals. You'll lead impactful projects that shape the future of customer-owned energy systems, working alongside industry-leading experts on innovative solutions such as microgrids, thermal energy networks, central utility plants, and electrical distribution systems. As part of a growing market, you'll collaborate with forward-thinking clients investing in the next generation of energy infrastructure while expanding your own leadership capabilities within a globally recognized engineering and consulting firm. If you're energized by solving complex challenges, building strong client partnerships, and delivering projects that create lasting value, this role offers a unique platform to make a meaningful impact and accelerate your career.
