As McKesson prepares to separate its Medical‑Surgical business unit into a standalone entity,we are seeking a Project Manager, Customer Engagement to lead the cross‑functional coordination of customer impacts, communications, and actions driven by the separation.This role will partner closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Operations, Legal, Finance, IT, Communications, and functional workstream leads to identify, document, coordinate, and track customer‑facing activities required to support a smooth transition.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, business‑oriented project manager who can bring structure to complex, fast‑moving work, translate separation impacts into clear action plans, and ensure customer‑related dependencies, decisions, and communications are visible, coordinated, and executed on time. This role requires strong stakeholder management, disciplined follow‑through, and the ability to communicate clearly with both project teams and senior leaders.
McKesson Medical‑Surgical (MMS), which is expected to become Wellverse in early 2027, is a subsidiary and publicly reported segment of the McKesson Corporation. MMS distributes medical‑surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, diagnostic equipment and supplies, along with other solutions and services to virtually every type of healthcare setting and provider outside of the traditional hospital.
