Responsibilities include customer interface, client development, project scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight, safety oversight, cost and progress monitoring, management, and reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed according to design, budget, and schedule, interfacing with clients, A/E representatives, subcontractors, end users, security, etc.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate boundaries. Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of all personnel on assigned projects.
  • Monitor and control construction through on-site supervision to ensure adherence to schedule and budget; investigate serious issues and implement corrective measures. Approve purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards. Maintain project documentation. Assist with safety program implementation and provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, rentals, income, and expenses, to protect the company's interests and maintain good client relationships.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by regional management.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in construction management/engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, design, finance, and management
  • Ability to apply management techniques to maximize performance
  • Understanding of industry practices, standards, and their impact on projects; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented mindset
  • Experience managing large-scale projects ($50M-$300M), with travel willingness (70+%) and a valid US driver’s license and passport

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of construction laws, standards, and safety standards
  • Proficiency in developing project strategies, plans, and budgets
