Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Design/Build Manager who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering on promises. You will oversee project performance and profitability from day one, coordinating design and construction teams to drive value and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include managing estimates, schedules, quality control, site meetings, and cost reporting while partnering with owners and the design team to develop concepts and optimize scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Engineering related and/or Construction Management with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• 2–7 years of hands-on construction experience as a project manager, assistant project manager, field engineer or related internships.
• Experience in Design/Build preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss cost reductions, and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
• Prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines to 100% completion.
• Communicate openly with leadership, team members and interns/co-ops.

A Day In The Life

Necessary Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, or Engineering related and/or Construction Management; with minimum of 3.0 GPA
• 2-7 years' of hands‑on construction experience as a project manager, assistant project manager, field engineer or related internships.
• Experience in Design/Build preferred
• Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
