Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial drywall and metal framing projects from award through closeout. You will manage scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings proven PM experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and related interior construction, with strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction.
• Commercial drywall and metal framing project management experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and interior finish projects from award through completion and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to verify scope and identify potential issues.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
• Monitor project budgets, labor productivity, material procurement, subcontractor performance, and overall financial performance.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications, and other project documentation.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule progress.
• Identify project risks and develop solutions to minimize cost, schedule, and quality impacts.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear updates to clients, stakeholders, and company leadership.
• Coordinate with estimating and field operations to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution.
• Oversee punch-list completion, warranty items, final documentation, turnover, and project closeout.

The ideal candidate has proven experience managing commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and related interior construction scopes. This position will be responsible for project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communication while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction
• Commercial drywall and metal framing project management experience is required
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and cost control
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents
• Proven experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field teams, general contractors, and clients
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
