Job summary

Ethan Conrad Properties, Inc. in Sacramento is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the construction phase of commercial projects, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and Director of Construction.

You will lead a team of managers and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years of experience in construction management, with strong skills in Procore and the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, or related discipline).
• 3 years of preconstruction phase management experience OR 5 years of construction management.
• Strong knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a team of managers and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Leads interdepartmental teams to finish projects efficiently and accurately.
• Conducts cost analysis and prepares budgets based on estimates.
• Performs risk assessments and reports risks with mitigation recommendations.
• Acts as liaison between company, customers and vendors; communicates with sales/marketing as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations, standards, and best practices.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the construction phase of commercial construction projects. This position reports directly to the Senior Project Manager and the Director of Construction.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversees a team of managers and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
• Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints
• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency
• Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project
• Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates
• Conducts risk assessments: reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate)
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project
• Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors
• Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
• A minimum of three (3) years of preconstruction phase management experience -OR- five (5) years of experience in construction management

Preferred:

• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management
