Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Newton, MA is seeking an Aviation Project Manager to lead design and construction teams on airport facilities including hangars, MRO, FBO, GSE, and flight kitchen facilities. You will coordinate with clients, drive scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure project objectives are met.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, superb communication, and deep FAA knowledge, with 10+ years of airport project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 7 years related experience; 10 years preferred.
• 5+ years managing complex airport projects with hangars, MRO, FBO, GSE, or flight kitchen facilities.
• Excellent written & verbal communication; strong leadership, problem solving and project finance skills.
• Solid understanding of FAA criteria; professional registration preferred.

We are looking for an Aviation Project Manager that has a desire to apply their technical design and management experience, while actively engaging their entrepreneurial spirit. Directs and coordinates activities of design disciplines and construction teams on projects of varying sizes, with a focus on aircraft hangars, MRO, FBO, GSE, and flight kitchen facilities.

• Minimum 5 or more years managing complex airport and airline projects, with a focus on aircraft hangars, MRO, FBO, GSE, and flight kitchen facilities.
• Project size may vary. Resident engineering and/or field experience on airport facility projects.
• Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contacts on project-related matters.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong leadership, problem solving and project finance skills.
• Solid understanding of FAA criteria is required.
• Professional Registration preferred.

Compensation Range

$150,000-$300,000

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
