Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Project Manager to lead aviation construction projects from inception to completion. You will handle estimating, proposals, scheduling, budgeting, and design reviews while coordinating with owners and design teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required. Based in Boston, MA, St. Louis, MO, or willing to relocate; 25% travel nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Experience with aviation, hangars, MRO, airport facilities, or technically complex projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage aviation construction projects from preconstruction through completion, including estimating, proposals, scheduling and budgeting.
  • Develop preliminary concept drawings with owners and design team.
  • Lead subcontractor buyout and ensure scopes align with schedule and budget.
  • Ensure safety, quality control, and schedule in partnership with the Superintendent.
  • Travel 25% nationally.

A Day In The Life
  • Manage aviation construction projects from preconstruction through completion; including estimating, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, scheduling, budgeting, design review, and execution
  • Work closely with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
  • Manage complex aviation construction work including hangars, MRO facilities, FBO's, cargo facilities, aircraft support buildings, aviation manufacturing facilities, and other airport-related infrastructure
  • Participate in proposal meeting with owner to review the scope of work and provide value engineering ideas
  • Support aviation pursuits by helping with site reviews, constructibility input, schedules, budgets, scope reviews, and client meetings
  • Lead subcontractor buyout and ensure scopes are complete, coordinated, and aligned with the project schedule and budget
  • Partner with Superintendent to ensure safety, quality control, and schedule
  • Travel 25% nationally
Necessary Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience with aviation, hangars, MRO, airport facilities, industrial, manufacturing, federal, defense, logistics, or technically complex projects preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required
  • Based in Boston, MA, St. Louis, MO, or willing to relocate
