Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Minimum of 5 years (6 preferred) managing projects from conception through completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, teams, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project teams to deliver high-quality work in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Manage project execution, including scopes, budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, and resource coordination across concurrent assignments.
  • Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for deliverables, including plans, reports, calculations, specifications, estimates, and other technical documentation as applicable.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary team members, subconsultants, clients, agencies, and stakeholders to resolve issues and support timely project delivery.
  • Build and maintain trusted client and stakeholder relationships through responsive communication, sound judgment, and solution-oriented problem solving.
  • Support business development and pursuit activities, including scope development, proposals, qualifications, interviews, teaming, and other client development efforts as applicable.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, designers, analysts, and other technical staff through day-to-day direction, feedback, and professional development support.
  • Demonstrate accountability for recurring responsibilities, deadlines, team productivity, responsiveness, quality, and financial stewardship while fostering strong working relationships.
  • Lead the planning and design of airfield improvements, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading and drainage, airfield lighting and signage, and NAVAIDs coordination.
  • Oversee preparation of aviation plans, specifications, estimates, technical reports, and design calculations in accordance with applicable FAA standards and advisory circulars.
  • Direct airfield geometry, pavement, stormwater, utility coordination, and related technical design activities.
  • Guide construction phasing and safety planning for operating airports and support bid- and construction-phase services.
  • Coordinate with airport sponsors, FAA representatives, and other aviation stakeholders to obtain approvals and address review comments.
