Job summary

Garver's Denver office is seeking a Project Manager for aviation infrastructure projects, overseeing design from inception to closeout. You will work with a diverse team on runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage, and related infrastructure, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The role requires a PE license, an ABET-accredited engineering degree, and 6+ years in civil engineering with aviation experience. Travel is expected; flexible work schedules and remote options are available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 6+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably with aviation projects.
  • Responsive and consistent in communications.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and aviation specialty programs.
  • Travel will be required with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Project management of aviation design projects for commercial service and general aviation airports.
  • Drafting project specifications and contract documents.
  • Construction administration and oversight for aviation clients.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline design engineers and technicians.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants.

Garver understands the complexities of airport systems held together by runways, roadways, facilities, and electrical systems that need to work in tandem to accommodate daily needs for travel and transport. Garver's Aviation Team maintains a diverse, skilled design team dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our clients in meeting both current and future needs.

Garver's Denver office is looking for a Project Managerto join our diverse, skilled team. Aviation project managers are responsible for development of infrastructure supporting airports including site design, grading, drainage, utilities, sanitary sewer, roadway, electrical, and pavement design with emphasis on critical airport infrastructure such as runways, taxiway and aprons. Our aviation project managers oversee these projects from inception, through design, bidding, construction, all the way to closeout.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Project management of aviation design projects for commercial service and general aviation airports

Requirements

Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience working with a multi-disciplined team while overseeing project execution
  • Experience in managing construction projects at airports
  • Licensed pilot or other aviation-related experience
Projected Compensation Range $108,600 to $165,800

(salary range considers differences in incentive compensation commensurate with qualifications, experience, and performance)
