Position Overview: As an Automation Project Manager at Pieper Automation, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our automation projects. Your responsibilities will encompass managing every phase of the project lifecycle, from initial opportunity through to final closeout. You will combine project management skills with technical expertise and strong leadership to drive high-quality results and maintain excellent customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Lifecycle Management
2. Opportunity Identification: Evaluate and pursue new project opportunities, aligning with organizational goals and client needs.
3. Estimation: Develop and refine project estimates, ensuring accuracy in scope, budget, and resource requirements.
4. Execution: Oversee project implementation, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
5. Closeout: Conduct project closeout activities, including final assessments, documentation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
6. Expert Guidance: Provide technical direction and support throughout the project, leveraging your expertise to solve complex problems and ensure project success.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and technical experts to integrate solutions and address any technical challenges.
8. Customer Relationships: Work closely with the business development team to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met.
9. Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience: Previous experience in industrial controls is preferred.
3. Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects through all phases, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. Strong background in automation technologies and technical problem-solving.
4. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards successful project outcomes.
5. Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining strong client relationships.
6. Communication: Effective communicator with the ability to clearly articulate project goals, updates, and technical information.
7. Other Requirements: Some travel to industrial sites may be required. A positive attitude towards safety and personal integrity are essential.
