Job summary

Ramboll in Lansdale, PA is seeking a Project Management Assistant to support EPC project controls, cost, schedule, forecasting, and reporting. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, discipline leads, procurement, construction, and finance to provide timely performance insight and ensure governance.

This role entails coordinating documentation, tracking submittals, supporting contract administration, and maintaining audit-ready records on-site at a construction trailer, Mon–Fri 7:30

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years related experience or alternative education path as listed.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and change management.
  • Experience with ERP/financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to present executive-level insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project control structures (WBS, budgets, cost reports).
  • Monitor project financials, accruals, variances and cost drivers.
  • Develop forecasts, cash flow projections, and dashboards; communicate trends to leadership.

This job will require being in a construction trailer Monday - Friday during normal business hours (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) in Lansdale, PA. Your new role

The Project Management Assistant supports delivery of EPC projects by establishing and maintaining robust project controls for cost, schedule, forecasting, and reporting. This role partners with the Project Manager, discipline leads, procurement, construction, and finance to provide timely, accurate performance insight, manage change, and ensure compliance with client and internal governance. In addition, the Project Management Assistant is responsible for key project administrative functions, including maintaining project documentation and records, coordinating reporting cycles, supporting contract administration, tracking submittals and deliverables, and ensuring proper filing and audit readiness. The role also facilitates communication across stakeholders, supports meeting coordination and documentation (e.g., agendas, minutes, and action tracking), and helps ensure overall project organization, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Establish and maintain project control structures (WBS, budgets, cost reports), ensuring alignment with contracts, control accounts, and internal reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze project financials including commitments, accruals, variances, and cost drivers; coordinate with procurement and accounting to ensure accurate cost capture and reporting.
  • Develop forecasts, cash flow projections, and performance dashboards; communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to project leadership.
  • Support change management, progress tracking, and project reviews, including quantifying impacts, maintaining logs, and contributing to monthly reporting and corrective actions.
  • Maintain project controls documentation, ensure data accuracy and compliance, and support project closeout activities including final reporting, claims support, and lessons learned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of 2 years of directly related experience. Associate's Degree plus 4 years of directly related experience. Advanced degree plus less than one year of directly related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle controls including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, progress measurement, and change management.
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel and experience with ERP/project systems (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle JD Edwards, Deltek, Procore) and reporting tools.
  • Ability to produce executive-level reporting and effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a matrixed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred: experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), scheduling tools (e.g., Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), contract structures, and exposure to claims support, along with relevant professional certifications (AACE, PMI, CMA).

  • Document management and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
Working Conditions
  • Working five days per week, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4 PM onsite within a construction trailer, located in Lansdale, PA.
  • May require travel to other project sites and periodic attendance at client or supplier meetings.
  • Work involves time-sensitive reporting cycles (weekly/monthly) and may required coordination across multiple time zones on some projects.

Salary Transparency

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,222 - $86,528 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
