Job summary

InterAgency, Inc. is seeking a mid-career/senior architect to transition into resiliency projects and lead planning for clean water infrastructure.

The role includes client management, scheduling, regulatory coordination, and construction administration, with a hybrid work arrangement and on-site client location several days per week. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in architectural/engineering, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or engineering.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in an architectural/engineering.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all phases of water pipe design and implementation, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Act as client interface and manage communications.
  • Review design drawings for accuracy and implementation.
  • Supervise the work of engineering team members.
  • Understand and communicate project schedules.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expedite project implementation.
  • Manage the permitting process with DC DOB, DOEE, and DDOT.
  • Maintain project files.

Description

InterAgency, Inc. is seeking a mid-career/senior architect who is looking to transition their career away from buildings and into resiliency projects. The successful candidate will help lead InterAgency’s planning efforts for clean water infrastructure implementation. Responsibilities include client management, planning, scheduling, regulatory coordination, permitting, and construction administration. Candidates must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage all aspects of a project.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all phases of water pipe design and implementation, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Act as client interface.
  • Review design drawings for accuracy and implementation.
  • Supervise the work of engineering team members.
  • Understand and speak to project schedules.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expedite a project’s implementation.
  • Manage the permitting process with DC DOB, DOEE, and DDOT.
  • Maintain project files.
Qualifications

Employment Conditions
  • Full-time, exempt employment.
  • Work conditions & location: Hybrid - Will work on-site at client location three (3) or more days per week.
  • Hours: regular business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 PM (EST).
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this position is determined based on a combination of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, and applicable licenses. InterAgency, Inc. is committed to offering competitive total rewards compensation packages that reflects each candidate’s qualifications and the value they bring to the role.

  • Salary range: $125,000-$145,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
