The Project Manager, AI Governance is responsible for leading complex, cross‑functional AI initiatives that support Lenovo’s enterprise AI strategy, Responsible AI commitments, and regulatory compliance obligations. This role oversees end‑to‑end delivery of AI programs, ensuring initiatives are executed on time, within scope, and in alignment with Lenovo standards. The role operates at a senior individual contributor level, partnering closely with legal, IT, product security, and business stakeholders across regions.

Key Responsibilities
AI Program Project Delivery
  • Lead multiple concurrent AI initiatives from intake through deployment, including pilots, proofs of concept, and scaled enterprise solutions.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
  • Drive disciplined execution using Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
  • Ensure delivery outcomes align with business objectives and Lenovo’s AI strategy.
Responsible AI Governance Alignment
  • Embed Responsible AI principles into project planning and execution, including fairness, transparency, accountability, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate Responsible AI intake, assessments, approvals, and remediation activities in partnership with governance, legal, privacy, and security teams.
  • Support alignment with internal AI standards and external frameworks (e.g., ISO 42001, EU AI Act readiness, product security expectations).
Stakeholder Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Act as a point of contact for AI projects, coordinating across global product teams, engineering, data science, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitate decision‑making, issue resolution, and escalation management.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, executive‑level communications.
Reporting, Metrics Executive Readouts
  • Track and report on project health, KPIs, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Prepare leadership‑ready updates, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior management.
  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement across AI delivery processes.
Process Improvement Enablement
  • Contribute to standardized AI project management practices, templates, and tooling.
  • Support maturity of Lenovo’s enterprise AI delivery and governance processes.
  • Mentor junior project managers or contributors as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management, including enterprise‑scale technology or initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross‑functional programs in a global organization.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycles, data‑driven products, and associated risks.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Responsible AI, AI governance, privacy, security, or regulatory compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with AI risk management, model lifecycle management, or AI assessment processes.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed, multinational technology organization.
