Job summary

BW Design Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead capital projects across pharma, biotech, and industrial operations. You will coordinate design teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and ensure quality from concept through start-up.

You will partner with clients and leaders to deliver high-impact solutions, applying your strong engineering background and effective communication to drive project success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of project management and engineering experience executing capital projects.
• Oversee design projects including facility systems, clean rooms, plant utilities, process systems, and automation.
• Experience with pharma, biotechnology, or food & beverage projects preferred.
• Broad knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical disciplines.
• Strong ability to present, manage client relationships, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Manage facility MEP design/bid/build projects for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advanced technology, food & beverage and other industrial operations.
• Lead project and design efforts from concept design through start-up.
• Oversee the preparation of plans, specifications, and contract documents.

• Facilitate site, building, and infrastructure design and construction; solve design problems proactively.
• Manage all client communications and client expectations.
• Coordinate with AHJs to ensure code compliance.
• Interface with construction and site managers to resolve coordination issues; support value engineering.
• Prepare proposals and participate in sales presentations.

You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You'll Do

You’ll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.

• Manage facility MEP design/bid/build projects for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advanced technology (semi-conductor), food & beverage and other industrial operations
• Lead project and design efforts from concept design through start-up
• Oversee the preparation of plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, designers, and other technical professionals
• Facilitate site, building, and infrastructure design and construction; proactively solve design problems
• Manage all client communications and client expectations
• Manage project timelines, budget, scope, change, and risk
• Evaluate project progress and adjust critical paths for scope completion and budget adherence
• Coordinate with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs); ensure compliance with building codes
• Interface with the construction manager and site manager to resolve design coordination and constructability issues; assist with value engineering efforts
• Prepare proposals and participate in sales presentations
• Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of eight years of relevant project management and engineering experience executing capital projects covering design development and coordination, specifications development, cost estimation, budget management, change control management, plan check and permit acquisition, creation of construction and contract documents, CQV, and construction administration
• Project management experience in the oversight of design projects including facility systems, clean rooms, clean utilities, plant utilities, process systems, and automation
• Experience with Advanced Technology, pharmaceutical, or Food & Beverage projects (preferred)
• A working knowledge of a broad range of engineering disciplines including civil/site work, structural, architectural, mechanical systems (refrigeration, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, hot water, domestic water, compressed air, plumbing, HVAC), and electrical power distribution
• Plant engineering experience (preferred)
• Project execution experience of projects within an A/E/C design firm
• Experience with facility utility design projects for manufacturing and distribution clients
• The ability to execute presentations, manage client relationships, and successfully interact with team members
• Solid computer software skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and
