Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead projects from award to completion, ensuring budgets, schedules, and cash flow, while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, safety, and quality.

This customer-facing role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing procurement, reporting, and maintaining accurate records. You will strive to be the customer’s first choice for service and be a mentor/leader on the project team.

Qualifications

• Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
• Initiative and proactive problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to facilitate a collaborative environment for customers and team members.
• Extreme adaptability; ability to influence others and build consensus; strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; leadership orientation; acts as a role model and mentor to others.
• Strong financial analytical skills including cost control.
• Solid team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills.
• Experience managing client relationships and communications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into detailed proposals and project implementation plans to meet customer requirements.
• Effectively communicate project requirements to the project team and wider organization; maintain accurate records of job status, changes, material flow, and other control records necessary for reporting.
• Act as the customer’s best service provider to ensure Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, supplies, services, and controls necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of projects within budget.
• Establish project milestones and analyze costs.
• May perform limited managerial responsibilities and oversee subcontractor selection processes.

Requirements

Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 5-7 years project management

Preferred Experience (but not required): 5 years relevant engineering, field service or project management; experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation; Certifications & Licenses: PMI or industry-specific certifications/licenses
