Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Indianapolis, IN to drive successful execution and implementation of projects within a business unit. You will plan, organize and manage activities to ensure the project meets quality, reliability, scheduling and cost objectives.

You will oversee the project life cycle, build strong customer relationships, and lead a cross-functional team to successful completion. A post-secondary degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Solid experience in project management methodology.
• Strong technical background to understand and evaluate project specs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget.
• Monitors project budgets and expenses to ensure funds are spent as planned.
• Manages completion of project milestones from start to finish.
• Identifies project risks and provides solutions to minimize risks.
• Maintains internal distribution of all project documentation for review and revisions.
• Builds strong relationships with customers and aligns with their objectives.
• Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs.

Job Accountabilities:

• Facilitates timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget, while providing metric updates to management
• Monitors project budgets: reviewing reports and project expenses to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified
• Follows established guidelines to manage completion of project milestones from beginning to end of lifecycle
• Identifies project risks and provides solutions to minimize/eliminate risks, monitoring key project processes for compliance with objectives
• Responsible for internal distribution of all project related documentation for review and revisions as required
• Builds strong relationships with customers and develops a deep understanding of their objectives
• Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications: Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years' Experience: 7 - 10 years of relevant experience

• Solid experience in project management methodology
• Possess a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with the project
• Ability to adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities along with ability to interface with cross-functional disciplines; using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
