Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex product development programs spanning robotics, medical devices, and industrial automation. You will serve as the main client contact, coordinating engineering, design, quality, manufacturing, and vendors to deliver on time and within budget.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams through concept to commercialization, manage schedules, budgets, and risks, and present progress to executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical or other technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of Project Management, Technical Program Management, or Engineering Leadership experience.
  • 4+ years on multidisciplinary product development teams.
  • Understanding of full product development lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams: Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded Software, Industrial Design, Quality, Manufacturing.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management.
  • Ability to communicate technical challenges to both engineering and executives.
  • Experience leading multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and PM tools (Jira, MS Project, Asana).
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple product development programs from kickoff to delivery.
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong client relationships while meeting technical, financial, and schedule goals.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external vendors to deliver products.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments.
  • Track progress and report status via dashboards and executive presentations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, engineering reviews, and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor profitability and resource utilization.
  • Support proposal development and project planning for new opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality processes and client requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution.

An innovative product development and engineering consulting firm is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex product development programs for clients across robotics, medical devices, industrial automation, and advanced technology industries.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or another technical discipline.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management certification.
  • Experience managing robotics, automation, medical device, or other complex hardware development programs.
  • Experience working within engineering consulting or product development organizations.
  • Familiarity with Design Controls, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and regulated product development.
  • Experience supporting proposal development, Statements of Work (SOWs), and client presentations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, project financial management, and resource planning.
  • Experience identifying new business opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Stage-Gate, or hybrid product development methodologies.
