Job summary

Watterson is seeking a Senior Project Manager to direct emergency and facility work orders and ensure client satisfaction. You will manage project lifecycles, coordinate teams, and communicate with clients to align on scope, schedule, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or property management preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience with at least 2 years in a similar role, including people leadership.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Own full project life cycle from initiation to deployment for multiple initiatives.
  • Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to mature capabilities.
  • Oversee Project Coordinators and provide guidance and training as needed.
  • Liaise with owners and contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Monitor and control outcomes across projects to resolve issues and dependencies.
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors to support project delivery.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Project manager is responsible for the overall direction of Emergency and Facility work orders and client satisfaction. The Project Manager will handle the lifecycle of emergency and facility client projects by planning, scheduling, budgeting and maintaining close contact with the client and their needs. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The Senio Project Manager may oversee and supervise Project Coordinators, will serve and train new team members and may handle larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for several major and minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Managing any direct reports of Project Coordinators by overseeing their work orders and providing additional guidance and training as needed.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes for numerous projects simultaneously to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.
  • Proactively develop relationships with the subcontractor community.

Requirements
Experience/Education/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or property management. (preferred)
  • At least 4 years of work experience, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally managing people.
  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs on construction sites.
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain and varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
