Job summary

Crankstart is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of large, complex, and strategically significant projects across programmatic strategy areas (Economic Mobility, Education, Democracy, Housing Security, Environment, and Medical Science and Innovation) and organizational operations for the foundation. The starting salary for this role is $185,000 - $205,000.

This position is a hybrid role based in San Francisco and reports to the Senior Program Officer – Democracy &

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional experience in the private sector with at least 2+ years of direct project management responsibilities.
• Passion for social good and social justice.
• Proven ability as a high-capacity generalist who can plug into any team.
• Experience in end-to-end organizational strategic and operational planning processes, including goal setting and budget forecasting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to synthesize complex concepts to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of large, complex projects across programmatic strategy areas.
• Coordinate across Education, Democracy, Housing Security, Environment, and Medical Science and Innovation, and organizational operations.
• Develop budgets and forecast goals for projects and programs.
• Synthesize complex information to support decision-making and communicate a clear point of view.

Candidates should have 1) five+ years of professional experience working in the private sector (private for-profit or public company) with at least 2+ years of direct project management responsibilities; 2) a passion for leveraging their experience for social good and a passion for social justice; 3) a track record as a high-capacity generalist who can plug into any team and project to add immediate value and organization; 4) experience in end-to-end organizational strategic and operational planning processes, including goal setting and budget forecasting; and 5) a reputation as someone who is organized, detail-oriented, uses informal influence and non-positional leadership to accomplish work, has excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on being able to synthesize complex concepts, information, and a point of view to make decisions. The starting salary for this role is $185,000 - $205,000. This position is a hybrid role based in San Francisco and reports to the Senior Program Officer – Democracy & Environment.
