Job summary

Riley Consulting LLC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee IT projects for a state of CA agency. You will work with state staff and project staff to deliver a CA IT project on time and within budget, including budget management for fixed-price deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years managing CA IT projects, strong Agile experience, and a current PMI certification. The role is remote with travel to Sacramento for in-person meetings as needed, based in Northern California.

• 5+ years creating deliverables for state CA IT projects.
• Active PMI certification.

Job description

Riley Consulting is looking for a Project Manager with experience managing State of CA IT projects. Responsibilities will include:

• working with state staff and project staff to manage delivery of an IT project for a state of CA agency
• managing project budget for a fixed price deliverable project.
• producing deliverables that are delivered within approved timelines and budget.

The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager with large system experience (5K+ users). This is a remote position.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years managing IT projects delivered to the state of CA
• 5+ years experience creating deliverables for state of CA IT projects
• 5+ years of Agile development methodology experience
• Active PMI certification (please provide cert #)
• Based in Northern California and able to travel to Sacramento for possible in-person meetings with clients.

Desirable Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA and Business Analysis experience. On this project, the PM will wear a number of hats
• 3+ working on public facing web application projects
• Experience as a first or second line manager
