Job summary

Business Knowledge Services is looking for a Project Manager in Rutland, Vermont to facilitate, organize, and manage IS initiatives to support business goals. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field, along with 4-6 years of project management experience in a medium to large company. Responsibilities include developing project plans, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget, and managing communications between stakeholders. Local candidates only as on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office Suite; especially MS-Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Minimum of 4-6 years business experience in project management roles.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution companies is preferred.

The position facilitates, organizes and manages the implementation of IS initiatives in support of business goals and objectives. The PM will work closely with internal and external resources to understand technical and business requirements, define a solution, and manage the process to achieve the solution. The role requires an high level of analytical ability to identify, define, interpret and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• The PM will be responsible for developing detailed project plans specifying project deliverables, milestones, required tasks, timelines and contingency plans for project assignments.
• Ensure that projects progress on schedule, within scope and within budget.
• Track project progress, report project status, facilitate resolution of issues and elevate issues to management and/or project steering committee when necessary.
• Coordinate project planning and status meetings.
• Manage the interfaces and communication between people and organizations, including the people reporting directly to the PM, their managers and the steering committees, if they exist.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficient with MS Office Suite; specifically MS-Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Minimum of 4-6 years business experience in PM roles
• Relevant manufacturing or distribution companies including experience in a medium to large, multi-location company operating multiple shifts.
• Lead to Cash experience desirable
• The qualified candidate must have a big picture perspective and a solid understanding of corporate-wide functions, specifically how ITS supports other functions.
