Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 4 years of direct experience in coordinating projects.
  • Excellent coordination, organization, and prioritizing skills.
  • Demonstrated competent level knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology.
  • Demonstrated record of project management accomplishments.
  • Basic level of business acumen related to budgets, expense planning, resource allocation, and forecasting.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling parameters.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote).
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • Negative drug test result(s).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of multiple divisions/departments to meet project objectives.
  • Establish project plans and execute multiple projects across functions.
  • Create, maintain and monitor metrics, files, and reports; assess deliverables for cost, schedule and quality.
  • Identify and track project risks and performance issues; mitigate where possible.
  • Readily deliver presentations on project status to management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within projects.
  • Mentor others and potentially supervise interns.
  • Apply manufacturing principles to project work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Coordinate the activities of multiple divisions/departments as necessary to meet project objectives. Contribute in consensus decisions among project stakeholders and team members.

  • Work under minimal supervision to establish project plans, and execute and coordinate multiple projects, some crossing different functions/disciplines.

  • Create, maintain, and monitor accurate metrics, project files, and project tracking reports such as time reporting, financial records, schedules, budgets, and summary spreadsheets. Own accurate assessment and analysis of project deliverables to assist the team with meeting project objectives such as cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

  • Readily and promptly identify project performance related issues. Identify, track and help mitigate project related risks.

  • May create and deliver presentations on project status to management.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement to project processes make a significant contribution in making those improvements.

  • Mentors others. May lead or supervise interns.

  • Manufacturing principles.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of SEL products

  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence for project tracking and communications

  • Knowledge of programming techniques such as C++, SQL, JQL, and AI to query project data and generate reports

Pay Range Data

New hires start between $36.54 - $54.00 per hour. Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
