The Project Manager plays a critical role in leading nationwide installation projects for compactor and baler equipment. This position is responsible for overseeing each project from initial planning through final completion — coordinating timelines, resources, communication, and execution across Sales, Service, Logistics, subcontractors, and customers to ensure that every project is completed on time and meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Serving as a key liaison between internal teams and customers, the Project Manager utilizes Salesforce and other internal systems to manage project activity, track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and proactively identify and resolve risks or delays throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Manage installation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Develop and coordinate project timelines in collaboration with Sales, Logistics, field technicians, subcontractors, and customers.
- Coordinate project requirements, including site readiness, equipment delivery, scheduling, and resource availability.
- Monitor project progress on an ongoing basis, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, delays, risks, and other execution challenges.
- Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and requirements, and communicate updates clearly to all appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure all installation activities comply with company policies, safety standards, customer requirements, and project expectations.
- Conduct project follow-up to confirm completion of all required documentation and deliverables.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to support project handoff, pre-installation planning, and post-sale coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding project timelines, status updates, risks, and customer follow-ups.
- Facilitate communication between Sales, Service, Logistics, and other departments to ensure accurate expectations are established and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to support successful and timely project execution.
- Provide leadership and key stakeholders with visibility into project status, communicating significant updates, challenges, or changes as they arise.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to track project milestones, installations, and customer interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of project activity, work orders, installation details, and project status within Salesforce and internal systems.
- Support reporting efforts and provide visibility into project performance and completion rates.
- Ensure data accuracy across Salesforce and internal systems, including RentalMan/AS400, where applicable.
- Identify process inefficiencies and data gaps, and recommend opportunities to improve project execution and overall efficiency.
Customer Communication & Project Support
- Communicate directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle to confirm timelines and installation schedules, gather and relay site readiness requirements, and provide status updates on scheduling changes.
- Coordinate post-completion follow-up to confirm customer satisfaction and address any outstanding items.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships while effectively managing expectations and supporting a high-quality customer experience.
- Coordinate internally to support the timely resolution of project-related issues.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Prepare, process, and coordinate purchase orders, work orders, and other documentation related to assigned projects.
- Maintain accurate and organized project files, including work orders, installation records, service reports, vendor documentation, and related materials.
- Coordinate parts, equipment, and other resources required to support project execution.
- Track project performance metrics, timelines, and completion status.
- Support leadership with reporting, process improvement initiatives, and other operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, customer support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and coordinate effective, timely solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working with CRM, project management, scheduling, or operational systems; prior Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams and departments.
- Adaptable, coachable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience managing installation, service, logistics, construction, equipment, or other operational projects.
- Experience within the waste, recycling, or industrial equipment industries.
- Familiarity with compactors, balers, or similar technical equipment.
- Experience coordinating projects or field service teams across multiple regions.
- Strong customer service mindset with a proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This position is performed primarily in an office setting and requires regular use of a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
- Occasional local travel may be required to support project coordination and customer meetings.

Pay: $70,000.00 and up per year, commensurate with experience.
