Job summary

JANSON Communications, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee day-to-day delivery of projects from design through closeout. You will coordinate clients, design teams, contractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure successful execution.

Prior experience with defense or federal contracting in pre-construction and construction is required. The role demands strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills and comfort with ProCore and MS Project, with hybrid work options

Qualifications

  • BS degree or commensurate experiences with at least 3 years of experience in project management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects from design through construction and final closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
  • Manage project scope, budget, commitments, change orders, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, designers, contractors, vendors, procurement, and field teams.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate status, risks, decisions, and required actions.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, design changes, approvals, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement and track long-lead materials, equipment, millwork, graphics, and other critical items.
  • Partner with the Superintendent to manage construction progress and resolve field issues.
  • Identify schedule, cost, scope, and operational risks and elevate significant issues to program leadership.
  • Coordinate punch lists, turnover documentation, financial reconciliation, and project closeout.

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of assigned projects from design and preconstruction through procurement, construction, turnover, and closeout. The PM serves as the primary coordination point between the client, design team, consultants, contractors, vendors, field staff, and internal program resources.

Prior experience in working for a defense or federal contractor in the areas of pre-construction and construction related projects is required.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in MS Project, excel and other advanced project management software (such as ProCore)
  • Ability to accomplish big picture objectives through a strong focus on detail.
  • Prior military experience preferred but not required
