Job summary

IMC Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects from post-bid through closeout, balancing client expectations with scope, schedule, and budget. You will drive accountability across internal teams and trade partners to deliver successful outcomes.

You will partner with Estimating for bid packaging and buyout, ensure subcontractor scopes are complete, and manage cost controls and owner pay applications throughout the project lifecycle.

• Experience leading projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end from post-bid through closeout, aligning scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
• Partner with estimating to support bid packaging and buyout processes; ensure subcontractor scopes are complete and aligned.
• Translate estimates into project budgets, monitor cost controls, review invoices, and manage owner pay applications.
• Develop and actively manage project schedules; identify risks and ensure timely delivery of materials and trades.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, design teams, and subcontractors; communicate clearly to build trust.
• Collaborate with field leadership to uphold safety culture and implement project-specific safety plans.
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers and APMs to foster high performance.

What You’ll Do

Lead Projects End-to-End

You will take ownership of projects from post-bid through closeout, ensuring alignment between scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations. You’ll drive accountability across internal teams and trade partners to deliver successful outcomes.

Preconstruction & Buyout

Partner with Estimating to support bid packaging, validate project scope, and lead a thorough and strategic buyout process. You’ll ensure subcontractor scopes are complete, competitive, and aligned to prevent gaps or overlaps.

Manage Financial Performance

Translate estimates into project budgets, manage cost controls, and oversee change management. You’ll review subcontractor invoices, prepare owner pay applications, and ensure financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Schedule & Execution

Develop and actively manage the project schedule. You’ll proactively identify risks, maintain momentum, and ensure materials and trades are delivered on time to keep projects on track or ahead of schedule.

Build Strong Relationships

Serve as a key point of contact for clients, design teams, and subcontractors. Your ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal, will be critical to building trust and driving results.

Safety

Work closely with field leadership and the Safety team to uphold IMC’s “Safety First” culture. Support the development and consistent execution of project-specific safety plans, ensuring a safe and well-managed jobsite for all team members.

Lead & Develop Teams

Guide and support Project Engineers and APMs while fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors. You’ll help elevate team performance and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing project environment.
